Cameroon is the most expensive country on this list: roughly 210,000 to 226,000 XAF depending on the centre, close to double the Ivorian fee. The Instituts français in Yaoundé and Douala hold most sessions, with Garoua, Maroua, Buea, Bamenda, Dschang and Ngaoundéré completing the network.

Yaoundé and Douala carry the densest calendar. Outside those two cities the frequency drops sharply, and the wait for a local session is often longer than the trip to a metropolitan one. If you are working to a fixed deadline, choose the centre by the dates it actually offers, not by how close it is.
Regular sessions in Yaoundé and Douala, more widely spaced elsewhere. Register as soon as the calendar opens. At this price nobody wants to pay twice because they missed a registration window by a week.
How much the TCF Canada costs in CameroonBetween FCFA 210,000 and FCFA 226,000 XAF
Range verified on 27 August 2026 with the Instituts français of Yaoundé and Douala (around 226,000 XAF) and the Alliance française de Garoua (around 210,000 XAF). Each accredited centre sets its own fee — France Éducation international and IRCC do not fix it. Other sources quote 120,000 to 150,000 XAF; that discrepancy is unresolved and most likely refers to a different exam, so confirm with your centre before you budget.
This amount is set by the accredited centre, not by France Éducation international and not by IRCC. It changes from year to year and from centre to centre.

At 226,000 XAF a sitting, missing your target by two points is not an inconvenience, it is a second exam fee. That is the honest reason to prepare properly here rather than improvise: the cost of preparation is a fraction of the cost of a retake, and the retake also costs you another two to four weeks of waiting for results you had planned your file around.
Cameroon is the one country on this list where this English page has a local readership and not only a diaspora one. If you live in Buea, Bamenda, Kumba or Limbe, you are preparing a French exam from an anglophone environment: your schooling, your workplace and your evenings are in English, and the French you need on exam day has no natural daily home. That is a specific problem, and it is not solved by reading more grammar. Listening and speaking degrade fastest without exposure, and they are half the exam.
Concretely, that means audio every day and recorded spoken production, however short, instead of passive reading. Our speaking simulator has you record the three tasks under real timing, then returns an annotated transcript with your words per minute, the share of the recording spent on pauses, and a count of filler words. When nobody around you speaks French fluently, that is the only objective feedback available — and it is the same feedback whether you are in Bamenda or in Douala.
MTN Mobile Money and Orange Money cover most payments in Cameroon, and both are built into the checkout in CFA francs. Prices are shown in your local currency.
Payment is settled in XAF with no conversion charged to you. In mobile money markets there is no automatic renewal: you buy a 30-day pass and get a reminder before it runs out.
Amounts are converted from a US-dollar catalogue at the current rate; the local figure is indicative of that conversion. Our plans in XAF
